A Visit from Senator Collins

Maine U.S. Senator Susan Collins greeted Warren Community School students and staff on November 30, 2006 with a new United States flag. Students Patrick Krennerich and George Field, both in sixth grade, wanted to replace their aging flag and asked Senator Collins for help. On Thursday, the old flag was retired and given to Mr. Boggs a retired WW II Marine from Warren. With a bald eagle circling overhead, Senator Collins, Patrick and George raised a bright, new flag for Warren Community School. Students and staff celebrated the event by proudly reciting the Pledge of Allegiance and singing the Star Spangled Banner.
