Day Three

November 14, 2006

Welcome to Narita Airport, just outside Tokyo. Very long flight! It took almost 11 hours and then a 1.5 hour bus ride to Tokyo before we landed at the Keio Plaza Hotel. Very tired, but wired to go, go, go!

On the way to the hotel--one of Tokyo's beautiful canals at night. We also passed Disneyland, however, I couldn't get a good photo.

Tokyo night life. There are SO many lights! I have to keep my shades shut in my room because it looks like daylight and will keep me up (not that I know for sure because I haven't been to bed, yet!)

Beautiful Japanese music for our "meet and greet" with our dinner hosts for the evening. The lady is playing a Koto, which in Japan means "many strings." The gentleman is playing a bamboo flute.

This is the music they are playing (can you read that Mrs. Wentworth?)

Our dinner group with host, Nobou Its "Ito Sensei." He is a medical doctor in Tokyo. He took us to a wonderful Japanese restaurant on the 54th floor of a skyscraper in Tokyo. The view was magnificent!

View from the Top of Tokyo!

View from our table on the 54th floor--AMAZING!

Oh, the adventures to come! I'm exhausted and in need of serious sleep...stay tuned tomorrow--I have a busy day!
