This was our Thanksgiving meal. It was Oishi! I hate turkey so this was great for me!


This is a photo of the tea bowl I wanted (still want)...then I found out how much it was. This was made by a local potter who has been in the business for many years. He is 9th generation owning a pottery shop. This tea bowl was $1,000 American dollars.


Enjoying confections at this locally owned confection company. This shop is third generation owned and has been in business 95 years.


After the tour of the confection company we had the chance to make our own.


Here are the confections I made. I was SO proud of myself...they look professional!

We were served tea in the tea house. It is customary to eat a sweet before partaking in the tea drinking due to the bitter taste of the tea. And IS it bitter!
